Welcome to the Temply Studio digital download FAQ. This page answers common questions about digital planners, printable PDFs, SVG cut files, Canva templates, spreadsheet products, file compatibility, licensing, and order support. Product features vary, so always compare the information below with the individual product description before purchasing.
General Digital Product Questions
Are Temply Studio products physical items?
No. Temply Studio sells digital products. No physical planner, printed worksheet, binder, book, USB drive, craft item, or package will be mailed. Your purchase covers the digital files or access method described on the product page.
What is a digital download?
A digital download is an electronic file that can be saved to a compatible device. Common formats in our shop include PDF, SVG, PNG, DXF, EPS, and spreadsheet files. Selected products may include a template link for an online design platform. Learn more in How Digital Downloads Work.
How do I receive my files?
Use a valid email address at checkout and follow the access or delivery instructions shown for the order. Order confirmation and any available download instructions may appear after checkout or in your order communications. Save the files promptly and keep a personal backup. Delivery details can vary by product and store setup, so the instructions attached to your order are the source of truth.
Can I download the files on a phone or tablet?
Many files can be downloaded on a mobile device, but ZIP extraction, file organization, large downloads, font installation, and some editing tasks are often easier on a computer. On iPhone or iPad, use the Files app. On Android, use the device file manager or another trusted file-management app. Confirm that the intended application supports the product format.
File Formats and Compatibility
What file types are included?
Included formats differ by product. A planner may contain one or more PDFs. An SVG bundle may include SVG, PNG, DXF, or EPS files. A spreadsheet product may include XLSX or another listed format. A Canva template may provide an editing link. Never assume that every format shown across the store is included in a specific product; review the listing details before checkout.
Are all digital planners compatible with Goodnotes or Notability?
No. Compatibility must be confirmed on the product page. Many PDF planners can be imported into PDF annotation apps, but app behavior, hyperlink support, navigation, and writing tools vary by device and software version. Temply Studio is not affiliated with Goodnotes or Notability.
Can I edit a PDF planner?
A standard PDF may be suitable for writing, highlighting, typing, or annotating in a compatible app without being structurally editable. You generally cannot change the original layout, fonts, colors, or page design unless the product includes an editable source format and says so explicitly.
Do Canva templates require Canva Pro?
Only products specifically described as Canva templates include Canva editing access. Some templates may work with a free Canva account, while certain fonts, elements, or features may require paid access depending on the template and Canva's current terms. Review the product description and the template elements before final export.
Will SVG files work with Cricut or Silhouette?
SVG files are commonly used in compatible cutting and vector-design software, but machine models, software editions, account levels, and import rules vary. Some Silhouette software versions may require an upgraded edition to import SVG files. Confirm compatibility with your software before purchase. Our Compatibility Guide explains SVG, PNG, DXF, and EPS formats.
Can I use spreadsheet templates in both Excel and Google Sheets?
Only when the listing states compatibility with both. Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets can interpret formulas, formatting, data validation, charts, fonts, and print settings differently. Open the file first in the software recommended on the product page and keep an unchanged backup before converting it.
Why is my download a ZIP file?
ZIP folders package multiple files into one smaller download. Extract or unzip the folder before trying to open the included PDFs, SVGs, PNGs, spreadsheets, or instructions. Opening files directly from inside a compressed folder can cause missing previews, failed imports, or save errors.
Printing and Digital Planning
What paper sizes are included with printables?
Paper size varies. Common options may include US Letter, A4, A5, or another dimension listed in the product description. Scale settings in your printer dialog can change the finished result. For the closest match, choose the listed paper size, review print preview, and test one page before printing the full file.
Can colors look different when printed?
Yes. Screen brightness, monitor calibration, printer model, ink, paper, and color profile can affect printed colors. Digital previews are a useful representation but cannot guarantee an identical physical print result on every device and printer.
Are planner hyperlinks guaranteed to work in every app?
No. Hyperlinks require a compatible PDF reader or annotation app and may work differently in editing versus viewing mode. Confirm that the product is described as hyperlinked and that your app supports PDF links. Some apps require you to switch out of pen or annotation mode before tapping links.
Editing, Fonts, and Templates
Are fonts included?
Fonts are included only when the product description says so and when distribution rights permit it. Preview images may use fonts for presentation that are not included in the download. Editable templates can substitute fonts depending on your account, software, or available font library.
Can Temply Studio customize a product for me?
Custom design, personalization, resizing, and software setup are not automatically included with a standard digital product. Contact us before purchasing to ask whether a specific modification is available. Do not purchase a non-editable product assuming custom changes will be provided afterward.
Licensing and Permitted Use
Can I use a product commercially?
Commercial use is allowed only when the product page explicitly includes it or provides a specific commercial license. If the listing does not mention commercial use, treat the purchase as personal-use only. Product-specific terms take priority over the general Digital Product License.
Can I share the files with friends, clients, coworkers, or students?
Not unless the product license specifically permits multi-user, classroom, team, or client distribution. A standard purchase is generally for one purchaser. You may not upload original files to shared drives, membership libraries, social groups, marketplaces, print-on-demand platforms, or public download pages.
Can I resell an edited version?
Light edits do not create a new unrestricted product. You may not resell, redistribute, sublicense, or give away the original file, an editable source file, a template link, or a lightly modified version. When commercial use is included, it normally applies to permitted finished end products, not resale of the digital source asset.
Order Problems, Refunds, and Support
What should I do if a file does not open?
Confirm that the download completed, extract ZIP folders, check available storage, use the recommended software, and try downloading again through a stable connection. Avoid renaming or converting the original file before testing it. Follow our Digital Download Troubleshooting Guide for format-specific steps.
What if I purchased the wrong product?
Because digital products cannot be physically returned, refund eligibility can differ from physical goods. Contact us promptly with the order number and product name. We review duplicate purchases, incorrect supplied files, corrupted downloads, and other documented issues according to the store policy shown at checkout and applicable law. We do not promise approval before reviewing the order details.
What if I cannot find my order email?
Check spam, promotions, and junk folders; search for Temply Studio or the order number; and confirm the email address used at checkout. If you still cannot locate the message, contact support and provide your name, checkout email, approximate purchase date, and product title. Never send a password or payment-card number.
How do I contact Temply Studio?
