Digital Download Troubleshooting Guide

This Temply Studio digital download troubleshooting guide covers common problems with order emails, file access, ZIP folders, PDFs, digital planners, SVG cut files, Canva templates, spreadsheets, printing, and mobile devices. Start with the general checks below, then follow the section for your file type.

Product formats and features vary. Review the original product page before troubleshooting so you know which files, sizes, apps, and editing options were actually included.

Before You Begin: Five Quick Checks

  1. Confirm the download finished: an incomplete file may show an error, a zero-byte size, or a temporary extension.
  2. Use the original file: test a clean copy before renaming, converting, compressing, or editing it.
  3. Check the file extension: PDF, ZIP, SVG, PNG, DXF, EPS, and XLSX require different software.
  4. Check available storage: low device or cloud storage can interrupt downloads and imports.
  5. Restart and update: restart the app or device and install supported updates when appropriate.

I Cannot Find My Order or Download Email

Check spam, junk, promotions, social, updates, and archived folders. Search your inbox for “Temply Studio,” the product title, or your Shopify order number. Confirm that you are checking the same email address used at checkout.

If the email address was entered incorrectly or you still cannot locate the order communication, contact support with your full name, checkout email, approximate purchase date, product title, and order number if available. Never send a password, full payment-card number, bank login, or one-time verification code.

The Download Does Not Start

  • Refresh the page once and try the access link again.
  • Switch from an in-app browser to Safari, Chrome, Edge, or Firefox.
  • Disable a download-blocking extension temporarily if you understand and trust the source.
  • Try a stable Wi-Fi or wired connection.
  • Check browser download permissions and pop-up settings.
  • Try a computer when a mobile browser repeatedly fails.

Avoid tapping the download button many times in rapid succession. Multiple simultaneous downloads can create duplicates, partial files, or browser errors.

The File Downloaded but Will Not Open

First identify the extension shown after the filename. Do not change the extension manually. A file named planner.zip must be extracted; changing it to planner.pdf will not convert it.

Compare the file size after a second download. A file that is much smaller than expected may be incomplete. Save the new copy to a local folder rather than opening it directly from an email preview or cloud synchronization screen.

ZIP Folder Problems

The ZIP file will not extract

Download it again through a stable connection, confirm sufficient storage, and use the built-in extraction feature on your operating system. On Windows, right-click and choose Extract All. On macOS, double-click the ZIP. On iPhone or iPad, tap it in the Files app. On Android, use the file manager or a trusted extraction app.

I can see the ZIP folder but not the individual files

You may be viewing the compressed folder instead of the extracted copy. Complete extraction and open the new folder created by the operating system. Some apps cannot import a PDF or SVG directly from inside a ZIP container.

The extracted folder looks empty

Check whether hidden folders or nested subfolders were created. Try extracting on a computer. If the archive reports corruption after a complete re-download, contact Temply Studio with the product title and the exact error message.

PDF and Printable File Problems

The PDF shows a blank page or error

Download a fresh copy and open it in a current PDF reader rather than a browser preview. Large or highly linked planners may load slowly on older devices. Confirm that the file is a PDF and not a ZIP containing PDFs.

The PDF prints too small or is cut off

Confirm the paper size listed on the product page. In the print dialog, compare Actual Size, 100%, and Fit options. Printer margins vary, so use print preview and test one page. A file designed for US Letter can scale differently on A4, and vice versa.

The printed colors look different

Screen brightness, display calibration, printer model, ink, toner, paper, and color settings affect the finished output. Digital previews cannot guarantee an identical print result on every printer.

Goodnotes, Notability, and Digital Planner Problems

The planner will not import

Confirm that the listing describes the file as compatible with your app. Extract ZIP folders first, save the PDF locally, and import it from inside the annotation app. Check storage and cloud synchronization. If the PDF opens in a standard reader but not the planning app, the issue may be app-specific.

Hyperlinks do not work

Confirm that the product is described as hyperlinked. Many annotation apps require read, navigation, or link mode rather than pen mode. Test an unchanged original file because splitting, flattening, printing to PDF, or re-exporting can remove link behavior.

My handwriting or stickers disappeared

This usually relates to app storage, synchronization, account, or backup settings rather than the original planner file. Contact the app provider for recovery options. Temply Studio cannot access or restore personal notes stored inside third-party apps.

SVG Cut File Problems

The SVG looks blank on my phone or computer

Basic preview tools often fail to render SVG files. Import the SVG into compatible vector or cutting software. A white design on a transparent or white preview can also appear empty until placed on a contrasting background.

My software says SVG is unsupported

Check the software edition and account level. Some cutting applications require an upgraded edition for SVG import. Use another included format, such as DXF, only when the product supplies it and your software supports it.

The design imports as one layer or many unexpected pieces

Import behavior varies by software and design structure. Use grouping, ungrouping, attach, weld, compound path, or similar tools according to your application. These commands are controlled by the software provider and can change by version.

The design is jagged after resizing

Make sure you imported the SVG rather than a low-resolution screenshot or thumbnail. PNG files are raster images and can pixelate when enlarged; SVG files are vector-based.

PNG, DXF, and EPS Problems

For PNG, confirm whether transparency was promised and use software that displays transparency correctly. For DXF, check line scale and grouping after import. For EPS, use compatible vector software; common photo viewers and office apps may not open EPS files.

Canva Template Problems

The template link does not open

Sign in to Canva in a full browser, then open the supplied link. Switch away from an in-app browser. Clear browser cache or try a private window if the wrong account repeatedly opens.

Canva asks me to pay for an element

Some features, fonts, or stock elements can require Canva Pro or another paid entitlement. The product page should be checked for account requirements. You can replace paid elements with alternatives available to your account when the template permits editing.

I changed the master instead of making a copy

Use the template option that creates a new design in your own account. Keep an untouched duplicate before making major edits. Temply Studio cannot recover changes stored only inside a customer's Canva account.

Spreadsheet Template Problems

Formulas show an error

Open the file in the software named in the product listing. Excel and Google Sheets can interpret formulas, date formats, decimal separators, references, and charts differently. Restore a clean copy if formula cells were overwritten.

Formatting changed after upload or conversion

Conversion between Excel and Google Sheets can change fonts, column widths, conditional formatting, print areas, data validation, and charts. Work first in the recommended platform and keep the original file unchanged.

The spreadsheet is read-only

Save a copy to a writable folder or create a copy in your cloud account. Check file permissions and whether the document opened in preview mode. Protected cells may be intentionally locked to preserve formulas.

Mobile Device Problems

Mobile devices can download many digital files, but large ZIP archives, EPS previews, font installation, vector editing, and spreadsheet troubleshooting are usually easier on a computer. Use the Files app on Apple devices or the file manager on Android. Move the file from temporary browser storage into a local folder before importing it.

When to Contact Temply Studio

Contact us after completing the relevant checks when:

  • the supplied file appears corrupted after a full re-download;
  • a listed file is missing from the extracted folder;
  • the file type differs from the product description;
  • an order-specific access issue remains unresolved; or
  • you need clarification about documented compatibility or license terms.

Email support@templystudio.com or use the contact form. Include the order number, exact product title, device, operating system, app and version, file extension, steps already attempted, and the full error message. A screenshot is helpful when it does not reveal private information.
